Sunset Moon (Large Original Canvas)
This mixed media acrylic is a deep-edged (1.5”) canvas measuring 18” x 14”. A very textural piece, it was created by applying handmade papers to canvas and covering with layers of acrylic paint to build form and texture. Paint pens and pearlised chalk have been used to add to the shimmer quotient.
I have a fascination with the moon and have taken many photos, which rarely do it justice. Finally, this painting might come a bit closer.
