The Tarbat Ness Peninsula is one of the best places to see the Aurora Borealis locally and you get a fantastic dark-sky view of the Milky Way into the bargain. I’ve still not seen the Aurora there myself, but continue to paint them, ever hopeful. This acrylic painting has many layers to create the impact, with every star hand-dotted and then pearlescent chalks added for a shimmery effect.
