Puffin Pair (Card)
These charming little birds have tenacity and strength that belies their diminutive form. Oddly comical on land, they actually spend most of their lives at sea. I’ve had the privilege of seeing them in the Shetland Islands and Orkney, though never managed to capture a decent photo. Here, I hope I’ve captured a little of their charm. Captured in their clifftop breeding environment, with sea thrift abundant. I certainly enjoyed painting them.
